Alesund.

This location can be found near the small airfield of Alesund, on the island Vigra, in front of the town. Follow the main road, the 658, through some tunnels. Eventually you'll pass the airfield and then continue to the north. In the small village Roald, near the coast and the big hills, are the bunkers located in a field.

The first bunker is a Vf casemate for a 4,7cm PAK, the bunker almost covered by a house but the steel plate is still visible from on the roof. The battery is located on and beside the large hill in the back. The guns, 10,5cm were placed in open emplacements with additional shelters; today there remain some parts of the guns. There are several other emplacements; two them are for the supporting 2cm Flak, one of them we think is for a searchlight and the other two bigger emplacements could be for the two 7,5cm field guns that should be stationed at this battery. This battery is an early build battery, light constructed and no St. bunkers which is also typical for this part of Norway.

Alesund.

This beautiful location is extremely hard to find. When you take the road towards the airfield (Vigra) you will take a tunnel. After you've exit the first tunnel, take the exit towards the village Hovland. Take the road called Langenesvegen, it will continue for quit a while on a small sand road.
At a certain point you will come at a crossing; park the car here, you have missed the first bunker (emplacement for searchlight) now, which is hidden 200m back, on your right side. The second bunker is a foundation of a huge barrack, which is located directly near the crossing. For the complete battery you must follow the road to the right, in northern direction.
After 200m there is a small, overgrown "parking place"; enter the forest after a short walk is the undercarriage of an 8,8cm Flak gun visible and now you have made it.

The battery had four emplacements for 8,8cm Flak; they stood in open emplacements and were linked to each other by concrete trenches. The battery is beautiful integrated in the forest, the trenches gives it an extra dimension. A highlight is the enormous armoured roof (+/- 10cm!!) of the Vf fire-control bunker (which is also a Sk=Sonder Konstruction, or special construction). There are lots of beautiful and special features which makes this one of the most beautiful places we have visited. Walking through the trenches in combination with the dense forest gives it's an extra beauty.

Alesund, Aksla.

On the highest part (150mtr) of Alesund, the so called Aksla are some bunkers located. Follow the road up the hill, it is a very touristic place so it is easy to find. The bunkers are next to the road.

This was a head quarter for the Alesund region; there is a 117a command bunker, half of a 117a to be exact. The bunker is still in a good state with some nice details, even while it is next to a busy public road. The supporting bunkers; a kitchen bunker with a nice wooden water tank, some personnel bunkers and a nice Vf Fire-control bunker/observation bunker are all located around the 117.

Alesund, Tueneset.
WB Norwegen, Art.Gr. Aalesund, M.K.B. Aalesund 2/505, 3x15cm+4x8,8cm Flak.

This major coastal battery is located just outside Alesund at the Tueneset point, on the west near the sports fields. There is a touristic walking path which goes all around the bunkers.
This location has an enormous amount of emplacements; big ones (3) for the 15cm guns, big ones for the 8,8cm Flak guns and the real small ones for the 2cm Flak. In total we have counted 10 emplacements and from one of them we couldn't determine what kind of gun was in place. There are lots of other small remains, buildings and foundations spread across a large area. On the east side of the battery, on a high hill, are some nice concrete trenches build together with some sort of MG post.
